Workforce Boulder County, Longmont, Colorado


Web Designer/Developer — Complete redesign and update of Workforce Boulder County’s (WfBC) Intranet Website, with all pages and CSS hand-coded and compliant across all browsers. Uploaded and linked dozens of forms and documents for staff and client use. Created an online calendar for scheduling the various training and conference rooms in both the Boulder and Longmont offices, utilizing a MySQL database. This saved the staff days worth of planning. Other projects include assisting the Director by placing TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) clients in the Work First program through Connecting Colorado, for program years 2009 and 2010, and then cross referencing through CBMS (Colorado Benefits Management System) for names of those who had left the program and to determine whether or not they had found employment. This will help the Director obtain additional funding and grants at both the State and Federal levels. Developed an online PHP pre-application form for clients seeking scholarships, to ascertain whether or not they are eligible. Also, currently redesigning WfBC’s external website as a WordPress CMS site to enable staff to contribute and update on their own.

Senior Engineering Technician — Developed and wrote manuals and procedures for building and de-bugging both prototype and line servo track writers. Aided STW Engineering in the development of the servo track writer controller and wrote the procurement specification for the controller. Provided support with the use of Excel spreadsheets and charts to generate pass/fail criteria of laser positioner motors. Wrote the preliminary documentation and specifications, and did the preliminary drawings for all of the electrical cabling in the servo track writer. Upgraded and debugged individuals’ computers within STW Engineering.
Engineering Technician III — Provided servo track writer support to the pilot lines. Aided STW Engineering with system improvements involving code, and electrical & mechanical features.
