Senior Engineering Technician — Developed and wrote manuals and procedures for building and de-bugging both prototype and line servo track writers. Aided STW Engineering in the development of the servo track writer controller and wrote the procurement specification for the controller. Provided support with the use of Excel spreadsheets and charts to generate pass/fail criteria of laser positioner motors. Wrote the preliminary documentation and specifications, and did the preliminary drawings for all of the electrical cabling in the servo track writer. Upgraded and debugged individuals’ computers within STW Engineering.
Engineering Technician III — Provided servo track writer support to the pilot lines. Aided STW Engineering with system improvements involving code, and electrical & mechanical features. Wrote servo track writer maintenance and operational procedures for both the pilot and manufacturing lines. Did life studies on clock heads to determine usage requirements in manufacturing. Interfaced with STW development at Maxtor Singapore Operations regarding system improvements and maintenance issues.
